Technology Research & Development Center is established in 2000, granted the license by Guangdong Province in 2004 and state in 2010. And it is also recognized as the technology development center for container vessel and dredger; pattern enterprise for information engineering; advantage enterprise for intellectual property right. Technology Research & Development Center includes Chief Engineer office, Production Development Department, Design Department, Technology Department, Development Planning Department and Science Department, and it is in charge of researching, developing new products according to the request from shipping market, it also provides with project and practice of technical reconstruction to GWS management. Technology Research & Development Center set up a CATIA V5 numerical 3D design Platform, and built up a technical team leaded by chief engineer and related designer, it is engaged mainly in research and developing building container vessel and dredger. Technology Research & Development Center also cooperate with Shanghai Communication University, Shanghai Merchant Ship Design and Research Institute, Marine Design & Research Institute of China and South China University of Technology in product develop and introduction, GWS is in the van of container vessel building and leading the middle & large size dredger building by the cooperation.
